I made a political cartoon for English class about issues in school
It focuses on how teens are expected to make career defining choices with barely any experience, and also how parents often take so much authority that their child’s decision is not actually their own
If this gets some notes then I’ll make a colored version

I admit I was one of the lucky ones for multiple reasons at the time. I knew what area I wanted a career in, and my mum honestly would’ve let me pick unrelated subjects under the pretence of “It’s your decision”.
The I looked at one of my best friends whose Dad forced him to take “Double” Business Studies because he saw that as a good thing for a young Asian boy, berated him for getting B’s etc.
Admittedly he is ironically doing better than me right now, as manager at a McDonalds compared to the unemployed lowlife that is me, but I doubt his dad forcing him to do Business Studies got him from flipping burgers to manager
